Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that combine practical on-the-job training with off-the-job training. Apprentices are employed within your business while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for their role, all whilst working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship. .

Our recruitment team have extensive experience of working with local employers. Their role is to support employers through the apprenticeship process. They can even help you source appropriate people to fill your apprenticeship vacancy.

Existing employees whose job role aligns with an pprenticeship standard, maybe eligble to undertake an apprenticehsip, to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Government funding maybe available to cover some or all of the training costs, depending on the size of your organisaion and eligibity critera. Our Buisness Development team will discuss the funding options available to your business and support you throughout the process.

The duration of an apprenticeship varies depending on the apprenticeship standard being undertaken. Most apprenticeships last between 12 - 48 months. The expected duration will be discussed with your before enrolment.

Off-the-job training is learning that takes place during an apprentices normal working hours and supports the development of the KSB's required for the apprenticeship. This may include workshops, online learning, mentoring, and attending Allaince Learning.

Alliance Learning will work in partnership with you throughout the apprenticeship journey. We provide guidance on programme selection, recruitment support (where required), regualr progress reviews, dedicated skill coaching support, and ongoing communication to ensure both you and your apprentice achieve success.

As an employer, you are responsible for providing meaningful employment aligned to the apprenticeship standard, supporting off-thejob-training, attending regular progress reviews and providing a safe, inclusive and supportive working environment for you apprentice.

The current minimum wage rate for an apprentice is £7.55 per hour. This rate applies to apprentices aged 16 to 18 and those aged 19 or over that are in their first year. You must pay at least the minimum wage rate for the apprentices' age. Many emplyers choose to pay above this rate to attract and retain high-quality talent. Progress in monitored through regualr reviews involving the apprentice, employer and work based tutor. These reviews provide an opportunity to discuss progress, celebrate achievements, set targets an identify any additional support required.

Once all elements of the apprenticeship including the EPA, have been successfully completed, the apprentice will achieve their apprenticeship standard. Many apprentices progress onto higher level apprenticeships, further training or enhanced roles with their organisation.
