Job Description:
Since 1988, we have been providing specialist hydraulic engineering services to OEM and after-market customers. Hydraulic power services have established an excellent reputation with our customers for unrivalled technical support and service back up. Our experienced engineers can troubleshoot the most complex of systems and are on standby for emergency situations whenever they arise. Hydraulic Power Services Ltd is looking for an Engineering Fitter Apprentice to join our team in Bolton. We service, repair and install hydraulic equipment for customers across a wide range of industries. Unlike a repetitive production apprenticeship, this role will expose you to many different types of machinery, hydraulic systems and engineering problems. You will initially work alongside experienced engineers in the workshop, developing the basic skills needed to safely dismantle, inspect, repair and rebuild hydraulic equipment. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will also gain exposure to site work, installation and hydraulic fault finding. The apprenticeship follows the Level 3 Engineering Fitter standard, with training covering mechanical engineering, fluid systems, maintenance, electrical principles, engineering drawings, materials and practical skills including bench fitting, turning and milling.
